About Charlie Mars
Charlie Mars, born in Arkansas and raised in Mississippi, released three independent records from 1995-2000. He recorded and released 1995's "Broken Arrow" on a shoestring budget while a college student in Texas, releaseed his seecond effort "Born and Razed" in 1997, and "the End of Romance" in 1999. He recorded his fourth album with producer Rick Beato in December of 2002, and was signed to V2 records (home to Moby, White Stripes, Elbow) in 2003. The self-titled release is slated for release in May of 2004.His great grandfatehr was notorious for sleeping in. When folks called in search of Norman Mars at this office, the secretary was often heard to reply, "Mr. Mars doesn't stir until the sun hits the west side of the house." The apple hasn't fallen too far from the tree.
Charlie currently lives in Oxford, Mississippi, and motels across America. He hates being cold, but gets cold more often than he'd like. He likes hi band. He is on tour.
